Day Trips...

While Rocky Mountain Cross Country Camp is located at the YMCA facility in Estes Park, we will be utilizing a variety of local areas for workouts, sightseeing, and adventure trips.  For the Adventure trips, see the webpage for those day trips.  Additionally, there will be others.  For example---

Trips into Estes Park
On several occasions we will be venturing into the local town for shopping, sightseeing, ice cream, movies, lunch—or just to do our laundry!  Estes Park is one of the most visited towns neighboring a National Park in the US.  In fact, Rocky Mountain National Park is also one of the most popular national parks in the entire country, too!

Trips into the National Park   Several times during our week-long camp we will drive into the park to catch a glimpse of the majestic mountains and wildlife scenery.  At Sheep Meadow Park big horn sheep usually feed in the evening. Many of our campers have said this is a must see!

Hiking trips  We will also take a couple of day trips into the park to see Bear Lake, Sprague Lake, or just enjoy hiking along some of the hundreds of trails!

Boulder Trip   And, of course, one favorite day trip is the trip into Boulder about an hour’s drive south of us!  See the Adventures Page for that!
